We finally got a major character reveal with an Academy Award-nominated actress from the 1991 film making a surprising appearance, directly addressing Max. This moment triggered a visceral reaction in Max, culminating in a seizure-like episode and a violent outburst against his TV. It felt like a deliberate nod to the original while pushing the new series into some incredibly meta and unsettling territory. Despite some other storylines this episode feeling a bit drawn out, that final scene has me completely invested and eager to see how the season unfolds. Bardem continues to deliver a captivatingly sinister performance that holds the show's dark ambiance together.
