Unlocking Secrets in Halo: Campaign Evolved – All Skull Locations Revealed!
Halo: Campaign Evolved brings back the nostalgic feel of the original 2001 shooter while adding fresh content, including three entirely new levels. One of the coolest features in this remake is the introduction of Skulls. Unlike the original game, which didn’t include them, or the Xbox 360 remaster that had a few, this version boasts an impressive total of 39 Skulls—three per level! Plus, there are three more Skulls that unlock with the Campaign Remix mode, which you can access after finding three hidden Skulls.
This guide is organized in the order of the campaign, with the prequel missions at the end for your convenience.
The guide is still being refined, so keep an eye out for updates!
Skull Locations:
The Pillar of Autumn
Speed Limit: As soon as you begin in the cryo chamber, head to the back left corner with some barrels. Jump on them to reach the catwalk where this Skull awaits. Activating it disables sprinting.
Magnified: In the weapons locker on your way to the bridge, look on top of the first lockers to find this Skull, which ups your magazine size to 60 rounds.
Perspective: After acquiring a Magnum on the ship’s deck, turn back and head towards Keyes. Under the pilot seats, you’ll discover this Skull. It also changes your assault rifle to 60-round magazines.
Halo
Give & Take: While protecting the marine lifeboats, follow the river into a cave where this Skull rests on a rock. It grants a unique mechanic where firing your weapon drains your shield, but dealing damage to enemies recharges it.
Floor is Lava: Found near the large rock formation while defending lifeboats, this Skull causes continuous damage when you touch the ground.
Grunt Funeral: In the underground section by the marine lifeboat area, climb the metallic spire and toss a grenade to reach this Skull, which makes Grunts explode upon death.
The Truth and Reconciliation
Iron: Near the grav lift on the ship, look for a small light at the cliff’s edge to find this Skull. It enforces a penalty where in co-op, dying sends you back to the last checkpoint, and solo means restarting the level.
Endurance Spec: Inside the ship while opening the door for marines, find this Skull on the third pillar after jumping from the upper walkway corner. It makes UNSC vehicles invincible.
Foreign: In the large hangar bay, rush to the back right corner where the Skull awaits after defeating some enemies. It restricts you to using only UNSC weapons.
The Silent Cartographer
Bandana: After reaching the interior section with the Warthog, look for a cave beside the building to find this Skull, which grants infinite ammo and grenades.
Acrophobia: Post-Hunter battle, climb to the top of the central structure to collect this Skull, allowing you to fly while holding the jump button.
Hip Fire: Towards the end of the level, in the winding ramp section, look for a small shelf where this Skull lies, disabling aim-down-sights and zoom for all your weapons.
Assault on the Control Room
IWHBYD: Early in the tank section, cross a bridge to find this Skull hidden in the snow bank. It increases the frequency of random humorous dialogue lines.
Angry: After the tank sequence, check the archway closest to the canyon walls to grab this Skull, which makes enemies fire more quickly and frequently.
Cowbell: Head into the facility where the control room is, and find the Skull underneath a stack of stones at the top of the ramp. It reduces the mass of objects, making them easier to move.
343 Guilty Spark
Fog: In the opening forest area, cross the log and look up the rocks to find this Skull, which disables the motion tracker.
That’s Just… Wrong: After battling through the Covenant, kill the nearby marine to drop this Skull, increasing enemy awareness of your presence.
They Come Back: At the end of the level, skip the Sentinels and look for a log between rocks to find this Skull, making Flood enemies more powerful when reanimated.
The Library
Tilt: Early in the labyrinth, look up after emerging from a tunnel to find this Skull, which alters damage multipliers for plasma and health.
Pop: After the first elevator ride down, head into the converging hallways to find this Skull on a pedestal, causing Flood to explode when shot at their weak points.
Famine: Upon entering the fourth floor, take a left into a small hallway to collect this Skull, which halves the ammo of dropped weapons.
Two Betrayals
Tough Luck: After exiting the control room, fly to the top of the structure to grab this Skull, which makes enemies go berserk during fights.
Black Eye: In the canyon area, head to the dead end made of Flood biomass to find this Skull, which only allows shield recharge through melee attacks.
Mythic: After a series of battles, clear the final room to unlock this Skull, increasing enemy health significantly.
Keyes
Blind: In the first vehicle bay, navigate through weapon boxes at the end of the hallway to find this Skull, which disables the HUD.
Piñata: After getting the codes from Keyes, continuously melee his body until the Skull pops out. It causes enemies to drop grenades upon being punched.
The Maw
Stowed Reload: En route to engineering, check the cryo room for this Skull, which allows your stowed weapon to continuously reload.
Boom: In the engine room, navigate to the second floor and drop down to a small ledge where this Skull is tucked away, doubling explosion radii.
Thunderstorm: During the warthog run, find this Skull in the second shortcut tunnel that winds through the level, which upgrades the rank of most enemies.
Boarding Action: After defeating the Hunters, find this Skull by continuing through unlocked doors until you reach a skinny bridge.
Johnny Ammo: In the large arena room, check the third floor for this Skull, which causes you to discard any remaining ammo upon reloading.
Leadhead: After defeating enemies in the bio labs, head through the open door to find this Skull at the end of the hallway, negating extra damage from headshots.
The Most Dangerous Game: After connecting with marines, blow up the barrels to open a door featuring the Skull within.
Ghost: After battling Covenant in the arena, return to find the Skull resting on a brazier, requiring some skillful jumping to reach.
Heavy Burden: As you progress towards Tolerance’s Bridge, look for this Skull on the ground next to a locked door.
Grunt Birthday Party: While regrouping, head to the top floor to find this Skull atop a rock formation, which causes Grunts to explode in confetti when taken out.
Efficient: During the gondola ride towards the end, restart the power and jump onto the left platform to find this Skull, enhancing enemy ammo drops when at full health.
