Path of Exile 2 Expansion Gets a New Launch Date: Less Stress for RPG Fans!

Hey gamers! If you’re like me and can’t decide between Path of Exile 2 and Diablo 4, you know the struggle of managing both action RPGs when new content drops. Last December, Diablo 4 surprised us with the paladin class right around the same time Path of Exile 2 introduced its druid class and expansion. It was a tough call for anyone wanting to focus on just one game at a time.

But there’s some good news on the horizon! The upcoming expansion for Path of Exile 2 has been pushed back, giving us a breather. Lead community manager Kelly announced that this expansion is turning out to be one of the biggest yet, and it just needs a bit more time to get ready.

Mark your calendars for May 7, when Grinding Gear Games plans to host a live announcement stream for “Return of the Ancients,” but don’t expect it to hit the shelves until May 29. This delay is actually a blessing for those looking forward to Diablo 4’s “Lord of Hatred,” launching on April 27. We’ll have a whole month to dive into Diablo before the PoE 2 expansion drops!

While the teaser trailer for “Return of the Ancients” doesn’t reveal too much, we do know some exciting changes are on the way, including a massive overhaul of Wraeclast’s endgame map. Fans are buzzing about the possible return of ancient characters and what that could mean for gameplay.

Reddit is on fire with theories, especially after Kelly posted a casual photo of a spider on her keyboard—some fans are convinced it’s a hint at a new duelist class! As if we needed more speculation, right? One user even linked this to an older ExileCon trailer featuring a duelist battling a spider. You know how the gaming community loves to connect the dots!

Looking ahead, it seems like this expansion will be more substantial than some of the recent ones. We can expect plenty of new features as PoE 2 prepares to leave early access this year. I can’t wait to explore all the new content after I’ve enjoyed my time with “Lord of Hatred.” Blizzard has been working on improving Diablo 4’s endgame, aiming for a more rewarding progression experience—exactly what we’ve been asking for!

So, buckle up, RPG fans! With a month to play and level up in Diablo 4 before the new adventures in Path of Exile 2, we’re set for an epic gaming season!
