Final Fantasy XIV Awaaz Deta Hai Nintendo Switch 2 Par Iss August – Magar Ek Twist Ke Saath!
Attention all Pakistani adventurers! We’ve got some absolutely massive news for fans of Final Fantasy XIV and Nintendo alike. After years of hoping and waiting, the epic MMORPG is finally making its way to a Nintendo console!
During the recent Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2026, FFXIV’s legendary director and producer, Naoki Yoshida (aka Yoshi-P), alongside Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu, dropped the bomb: FFXIV is officially launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 this August! This is huge for those who’ve dreamt of taking their Eorzean adventures on the go.
Now, before you go jumping with joy, there’s a bit of a twist, jaisa ke aksar hota hai. Unlike its presence on other platforms, playing FFXIV on the Switch 2 will require a *separate, additional* subscription. Yes, you heard that right – it’s not just your regular FFXIV sub; you’ll need another one specifically for the Switch 2 version.
Yoshi-P himself confirmed this, explaining that this decision came after extensive discussions with Nintendo. He acknowledged it’s a departure from their usual model, but it’s how things will operate for the hybrid console.
But don’t lose heart just yet! Square Enix and Nintendo have made some important concessions. For starters, you won’t need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to dive into Eorzea on Switch 2 – that’s a relief! And for those of you already rocking an active FFXIV subscription on PC or PlayStation, you’ll get a sweet 50% discount on your Switch 2 subscription. Not bad, right?
While there’s no exact date in August yet, we do know that players will get a chance to try it out for free for one month via early access before the official launch. The Fan Fest even featured a live demo of FFXIV running smoothly on the Switch 2, with Yoshi-P jokingly admitting Nintendo was a bit “freaked out” about the live on-stage demo but ultimately cooperated beautifully.
And that wasn’t all from the Fan Fest! Gamers also got a sneak peek at the upcoming expansion, ‘Evercold,’ slated for January 2027. Plus, brace yourselves for an epic crossover event with ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion,’ featuring a 24-player raid series coming after Evercold. Talk about a content feast!
So, get ready to take your adventures in Eorzea on the go with the Nintendo Switch 2! While the separate subscription is a minor hiccup, the thought of having FFXIV in your hands, anywhere, anytime, is super exciting. What do you guys think about this news? Let us know in the comments!
