Are PC Gamers Embracing AI? The Surprising Stats Unveiled!

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a hot topic lately, and it’s tough to escape it. Whether you’re scrolling through social media or chatting with friends, someone is bound to mention AI sooner or later—especially when it comes to gaming. But how do actual gamers feel about it?

Recently, a poll was conducted to gauge the use of AI among PC gamers, and the results are rather eye-opening. Surprisingly, a whopping 47% of participants admitted they don’t use AI at all. Yes, you read that right! Almost half of the gamers surveyed are steering clear of tools like DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) or FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution).

This statistic is particularly interesting given that many gamers have been using upscaling technologies since as far back as 2019. You’d think more would be inclined to enhance their gaming experience using these tools, but it seems there’s a significant percentage sticking to their guns—possibly opting for lower frame rates over AI assistance.

On the flip side, more than half of the respondents do utilize AI in some capacity. About 27% rely on AI for upscaling graphics, while 23% use it for research or brainstorming new ideas. And get this: 18% of gamers are even coding with the help of AI, which is a game-changer for many who are looking to innovate within their projects. There’s also a small yet noteworthy 7% who claim they use AI for just about everything—shocking, right?

Interestingly, only 1% reported having set up systems like OpenClaw to manage their digital lives, which indicates that while some are fully immersed in the tech, others remain skeptical or uninvolved.

As we dive deeper into these findings, it’s clear that attitudes towards AI in gaming are varied. While some players embrace the technology, others prefer to keep it at arm’s length. So, what’s your take? Are you among those utilizing AI to level up your gaming, or are you part of the 47% who abstain? Share your thoughts with the community!
