Canva and PIA’s Creative Vision: What’s the Latest on the National Design Competition?

Hey PakGamersHub fam! While we usually dive deep into the latest gaming adventures, every now and then, news from the broader tech and creative world pops up that’s just too interesting to ignore, especially when it involves boosting Pakistani talent. Today, we’ve got an update on a potential nationwide initiative that could be huge for local designers, involving two major players: Canva and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

For quite a while now, there’s been buzz about a nationwide design competition. The idea behind it is pretty awesome: to create a platform that showcases the incredible creative minds we have right here in Pakistan. Imagine our local artists and designers getting a chance to shine on a big stage, possibly with the backing of some major brands!

However, before everyone starts sketching out their masterpieces, Canva has issued a clarification. According to Ahmad Iqbal, Canva’s General Manager for the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP) region, while this competition has definitely been in the pipeline and under development for a good few months, a formal, official partnership with PIA hasn’t quite been sealed *yet*.

So, what does this mean for aspiring designers? It means the exciting prospect of a grand national design competition, intended to celebrate and elevate Pakistani creative talent through a collaboration between Canva and PIA, is still very much on the drawing board and being actively worked on. It’s just not formally announced or legally bound as a done deal at this moment. You could say it’s in its “early access” phase!

When this initiative fully launches, it could open up a world of opportunities for budding graphic designers, digital artists, and anyone with a passion for creative expression across the country. Many of you in our gaming community are also incredibly talented in design – whether it’s crafting epic fan art, designing stream overlays, or making eye-catching YouTube thumbnails. So, this is definitely something worth keeping an eye on!

We’ll be sure to bring you more updates as official details become available. Until then, keep those creative engines revving!
