Cinder City Adjusts System Requirements Amid RAM Crisis

In a surprising turn of events, the upcoming MMO shooter Cinder City has made some significant adjustments to its system requirements. Initially, when the game’s Steam page launched, it set the bar pretty high with a hefty 64GB of RAM needed for recommended specs, alongside a solid 32GB for minimum. This raised a lot of eyebrows, especially considering the ongoing global memory crisis.

After some gamers and media outlets expressed concerns, I reached out to the publishers, NC, to get some clarity on these spec demands. However, it took a day before we saw any changes, and those changes are worth noting. The recommended RAM requirement has now been slashed from 64GB to a much more reasonable 32GB, which should come as a relief to many gamers.

Along with this adjustment, the GPU requirement has also seen a bump, moving from an RTX 4060 to an RTX 4070 for those wanting to fully enjoy what Cinder City has to offer. This shift suggests that while the developers are aiming for high-quality graphics, they’re also listening to the community’s feedback regarding accessibility and performance.

As excitement builds for this tactical shooter set in a dystopian version of Seoul, it’s great to see the developers react to the needs of the gaming community. Let’s hope Cinder City continues to keep player feedback in mind as its release approaches!
