David Harbour Joins the Rambo Universe as Major Trautman!
Big news for Rambo fans! David Harbour, who you might know from the hit series Stranger Things, is officially on board for the upcoming John Rambo prequel. This announcement has sent ripples of excitement through the gaming and movie community, and it’s not hard to see why!
Harbour will take on the iconic role of Major Trautman, the commanding officer who has been a significant figure in Rambo’s story since the very beginning. For those who might not remember, Trautman was portrayed by Richard Crenna in the earlier films before he passed away in 2003. It’s great to see such a beloved character being brought back to life by someone as talented as Harbour!
As for the film itself, production recently wrapped up in Thailand, and it seems like everything is coming together nicely. Noah Centineo, known for his roles in films like To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, is set to step into the shoes of the titular character, bringing a fresh take on the legendary action hero.
The screenplay is crafted by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, with Jalmari Helander directing the project. Notably, original Rambo star Sylvester Stallone, along with Marvel filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo, is on board as an executive producer. The film will dive deep into Rambo’s origin story, providing fans with a deeper understanding of who he is and what shaped him into the character we all know and love.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the film since its announcement back in May 2025, and with Centineo joining the project shortly after, there’s a lot of anticipation building up. While a release date is still under wraps, it’s safe to say that this new addition to the Rambo saga is something to look forward to!
As we keep our eyes peeled for further updates, let’s get ready for some high-octane action on the big screen!
