Exciting Updates Coming to Marathon

It hasn’t been long since the launch of Season 2 for Marathon, but Bungie is already teasing some thrilling changes that players can expect in the upcoming mid-season update. One of the standout features is the introduction of an experimental PvE mode known as Vault Breaker.

What is Vault Breaker?

According to Bungie’s announcements, Vault Breaker offers gamers a chance to dive into the endgame Cryo Archive map. Players can tackle this mode solo, with a buddy, or as a full crew, all while enjoying the plunder without the hassle of competing against other players.

Challenging Adventure Awaits

Each vault in this mode is designed to ramp up the difficulty, ensuring a unique experience as players progress towards “the final vault” and uncover the secrets within. It’s all about teamwork and strategy while taking on progressively challenging obstacles!

What You Need to Know

• To access Vault Breaker, players will need a special Sponsored Kit.
• Once you’re done raiding the vaults, any gear you find must be left behind, preventing an overflow of high-end loot within the Cryo Archive.
• A new currency called Vault Data will be introduced, which can be utilized for upgrades on Vault Breaker Sponsored Kits or equipment for other modes.

Cradle Evolution Update

The mid-season update will also introduce the first enhancements to the Cradle Evolution system. This system allows players to upgrade their characters with lasting improvements. After maxing out, players can reset their Cradle to zero, allowing them to earn additional Energy points and unique cosmetics.

Earn Cosmetics Early!

Bungie has mentioned that these new cosmetics will be accessible later in the season, but players can earn them before they hit the game. Plus, the speed of the Cradle’s progression will witness a boost with this update!
