Dungeons & Dragons Teams Up with World of Warcraft for Epic Crossover
Get ready, gamers! The rumors are indeed true: Dungeons & Dragons is set to launch its first-ever official crossover with World of Warcraft. This exciting development comes as part of the ‘Universes Beyond’ initiative, a concept borrowed from Magic: The Gathering that has proven to be quite popular. D&D has a rich history of blending with various settings, so this new collaboration is only a natural progression.
The big reveal went down at this year’s Gen Con during the D&D Vision Keynote 2027, presented by Theo Solomon, who fans might know from his role as Wyll in Baldur’s Gate 3. So, what can players expect from this collaboration? A hefty 256-page hardcover book that packs in a ton of new content! This includes rules for 11 fresh species, 9 subclasses (with 6 brand new ones and 3 revamped versions of existing ones), and over 50 new monsters. But that’s not all; there are also 60+ new spells, 23 factions, 7 dungeons, and a whopping 26 magical items, including some powerful artifacts.
And for those who have always wanted to bring the World of Warcraft experience to their tabletop sessions, this book will even feature stat blocks for popular characters from Azeroth. Essentially, it’s everything you need to enjoy a D&D session inspired by World of Warcraft, even without an internet connection!
Mark your calendars: preorders for this groundbreaking crossover will kick off on July 30. You’ll have early access to the book starting November 3, with a full release set for November 17. Get hyped for some epic adventures ahead!
