Exciting Updates on X-Men ’97: New Seasons on the Horizon!

Big news for fans of the mutant squad! During the Marvel Comics to Screen panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, it was revealed that the third season of X-Men ’97 is officially complete and set to stream on Disney Plus in 2027. Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum shared this exciting update, which surely has fans buzzing.

To make things even more thrilling, attendees got a sneak peek with a clip showcasing Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants battling against the notorious mutant-hunting Sentinels. Talk about an epic showdown!

But wait, there’s more! The panel also announced that the fourth season of X-Men ’97 is already in production, with scripts for four episodes actively being developed. This is fantastic news, especially since fans were feeling the pinch of waiting two years between the first and second seasons.

Earlier this year, producer Larry Houston reassured fans that the lengthy wait between seasons was a “one-off” situation and that the upcoming third and fourth seasons wouldn’t see similar delays. Currently, X-Men ’97 is in its second season, with episode 6, titled ‘Danger.Exe’, set to drop on July 22. The season finale, intriguingly named ‘The Survival of the Fittest’, will air on August 12.
