Get Ready for Bond Bootcamp: 007 First Light’s Tutorial is a Whopping 3 Hours!

Remember those quick, often skippable tutorials in games? You know, the ones that barely teach you how to move before throwing you into the action? Well, buckle up, Bond fans, because 007 First Light is taking a completely different approach. We’re hearing that the game kicks off with an absolutely massive three-hour-long training segment!

That’s right, three whole hours dedicated to getting you ready to be the world’s most famous secret agent. When we first heard about this, we were a bit surprised, to say the least. It’s not just a quick “press X to jump” affair; this is a full-blown origin story deep dive, complete with intense training montages and some serious agent bonding time.

Our sources indicate that after what felt like the completion of the main training, the game hits you with an “advanced training” prompt. Zara socho, you’ve already spent a significant chunk of time, and there’s still more to learn! But don’t despair; we’ve got the lowdown on what these extensive training missions entail and roughly how much time you’ll be dedicating to each.

The entire training sequence is broken down into several key missions, with some downtime for character interactions and visits to Q branch in between. Here’s a quick peek at the core segments:

  • Against The Odds (Approx. 40 mins): This is where you’ll learn the very basics of stealth and movement. You play as soldier Bond, who accidentally gets entangled with MI6 during a mission gone wrong. It’s all about surviving and adapting.
  • The Needle’s Eye (Approx. 30 mins): This is the classic training montage you’d expect! Bond meets his fellow 00 recruits at a training compound in Malta, diving into combat, driving sequences, and sharp gunplay. It’s a dynamic, interactive sequence that really stands out.
  • A New Home (Approx. 30 mins): Time for advanced training! This part mostly involves two separate “capture the flag” style missions in Malta, blending stealth and combat scenarios. Expect some team-building exercises with your fellow trainee agents too.
  • A Night Out (Approx. 30 mins): Every spy game needs a nightclub level, right? This mission feels more like a real assignment, where you’ll be tailing leads, making choices, and using gadgets, although the game still offers a helping hand.

While the overall length of this introductory segment is definitely on the longer side, early impressions suggest it’s not all bad. Some of us found “The Needle’s Eye” in Malta particularly engaging with its rapid-fire interactive montage. However, we’ve also heard that some players might find the sheer duration, especially being sent back to Malta for “A New Home,” a bit much. Getting “fed up with Malta” is a real sentiment, and some might even opt to just brawl their way through stealth sections out of impatience – a true gamer move, if you ask us!

After navigating through the nightclub mission and completing your extensive training, you’ll finally be dispatched on your first “real” assignment. This is the one we saw in the 007 First Light gameplay reveal, where James is a bit annoyed about being assigned a chauffeur cover story while he and the other future 00 agents case a grand castle-like hotel in Slovakia. Chalo, Bond, you’re almost a real agent now!

We’re super excited to dive into the full game ourselves and will bring you a comprehensive review of 007 First Light as soon as we’ve had a chance to play through it all. Stay tuned to PakGamersHub for all the latest updates on Bond’s next big adventure!
