Get Ready for Maverick Games’ Big Reveal – New Open-World Driving Game Coming Soon!

Maverick Games, the indie studio created by Mike Brown, who previously worked as the creative director on Forza Horizon 5, is gearing up for a thrilling announcement. Mark your calendars for June 2, when they will unveil their highly anticipated AAA open-world action-driving game at 11 AM London time (6 AM EDT, 3 AM PDT, or 8 PM AEST).

In a fun twist, the team has been running a countdown livestream from within a quirky modified Fiat Multipla parked at their studio in Leamington Spa. As they build excitement, they’ve shared a few screenshots and dropped hints about possible game features and settings, giving fans something to chew on ahead of the big reveal.

Earlier this year, there was a bump in the road when Amazon decided to pull out of their publishing deal with Maverick Games. But fear not! Mike Brown took to social media to reassure fans that development is still going strong and the announcement is definitely happening.

Maverick Games sprang to life in 2022, comprising several talented developers from Playground Games, the studio behind Forza Horizon. Alongside Mike Brown, the team includes producer Tom Butcher, technical director Matt Craven, technical art director Gareth Harwood, audio director Fraser Stachan, and art director Ben Penrose. Back in January 2023, it was revealed that they are hard at work on a “premium open-world game” for both consoles and PC.
