Get Ready for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta!

Exciting news for Call of Duty fans! Activision and Infinity Ward have officially announced the beta dates for the much-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Gamers across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and even Nintendo Switch 2 can gear up for some action-packed playtests.

The beta kicks off with early access for players who pre-ordered the game on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S from August 21 to 25. Then, the open beta opens its doors to everyone on Nintendo Switch 2 from August 28 to September 1. This is all happening right after the Call of Duty Next presentation, which promises to deliver some live gameplay, detailed insights on the new multiplayer content, and some exciting reveals.

While we’re still waiting for the full lineup of weapons, operators, maps, and modes in the beta, Activision has teased some juicy details. Players can expect to dive into various multiplayer experiences with a selection of 19 different weapons, intense 3v3 skirmishes, and even tank warfare, along with the new mode called Kill Block.

The blog post hints at plenty of multiplayer maps and modes, allowing players to choose from a range of brand-new operators, including those exclusive to the Vault Edition for pre-order fans. You’ll get to test your skills in classic modes like Search & Destroy as well as newer challenges, including the Training Mobility Course.

And for those who grab the Vault Edition, you’ll have access to some fan-favorite operators such as Price, Valeria, Ghost, and Blix during the beta. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch 2 users can start locking in their pre-orders from August 26, marking the return of Call of Duty on Nintendo in quite a while!
