Get Ready to Hit the Roads: Euro Truck Simulator 2 Expands into Türkiye!
Euro Truck Simulator 2 has been a beloved title for a solid 14 years, and let’s be honest, the thought of SCS Software wrapping up support for it is hard to bear! There’s just something about cruising through a virtual Europe in various trucks that helps you unwind after a hectic day. And guess what? You don’t even have to be a truck fanatic to enjoy it!
After two major DLCs dropped in December, SCS Software has just teased us with something exciting for 2026: the “Soul of Anatolia.” This upcoming expansion is all about exploring the vast landscapes of Türkiye, which was formerly known as Turkey in English until the Turkish foreign minister requested a change back in 2022.
As you gear up for your journey, you’ll be driving from the vibrant city of Istanbul to Aksaray, the farthest point in this new area. The route boasts incredible sights, including the awe-inspiring 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in the world, along with the stunning Yavuz Sultan Selim and Osmangazi Bridges, which are your gateways into the heart of Anatolia.
One of the highlights of this journey will be Ankara, the capital city and a key intersection in the region. And there’s more! The game promises routes that will take you past the sparkling waters of Tuz Gölü and through popular tourist hotspots like Antalya and Alanya, where hotels rely on you to deliver their cargo.
This expansion sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? While we don’t have a specific release date just yet, the teaser trailer is definitely worth a watch to get a taste of what’s to come.
Honestly, I never thought I’d be into Truck Simulator games until I read an amazing piece by Andy Kelly back in 2015. These games are crafted with trucking fans in mind, but they unintentionally double as the perfect chill experience, offering a kind of zen-like gameplay.
