Get Ready to Wield Warhammer 40K Weapons in Helldivers 2!

Exciting news for Helldivers 2 fans! Get ready to unleash chaos on Super Earth’s enemies with an array of weapons inspired by the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40K. This crossover, set to launch on August 12, will introduce a Legendary Warbond that brings thrilling new gear to the battlefield.

While we won’t be seeing the iconic Space Marines, the Astra Militarum faction steps into the spotlight this time around. A fresh trailer has revealed two new armor sets that players can equip. The first is the Demo Trooper, rocking heavy armor, while the second option, the Sharpshooter, features medium armor. Both sets come with the True Grit passive ability, enhancing ergonomics and speeding up reload times for your Stratagem weapons.

The newly revealed Warbond also includes an exciting lineup of Warhammer 40K weapons. Among these are the Meltagun—essentially a terrifying upgrade to the flamethrower—the Meltamines, a Bolt Pistol for secondary attacks, and a powerful Lasgun Marksman Rifle as your primary weapon.

In the reveal trailer, you can see the Hot Shot Marksman rifle effortlessly tearing through multiple enemies, while the Meltagun and Meltamines promise to handle even the toughest armored foes with ease.

However, it’s worth noting that this selection isn’t the most iconic array of 40K weaponry. Fans of the series might be surprised to find that there are no bolters or chainswords—two beloved weapons typically associated with Space Marines. In fact, this Warbond doesn’t feature any melee weapons at all, which is quite the surprise considering the popularity of the “Drive me closer so I can hit them with my sword” meme among the community.

The Warhammer 40K universe is expansive and filled with legendary weapons, so it must have been a challenge for Arrowhead Studios to choose just a few that would match the Helldivers ethos.
