Islamiat Proves Tough for Matric Students in Peshawar

It seems that Islamiat has become quite a hurdle for many students this year in Peshawar. In the recent matriculation exams conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar, about 10,000 students couldn’t clear this compulsory subject.

As per the results, Islamiat not only topped the list of subjects with the highest failure rates but also emerged as the most challenging for both 9th and 10th graders this year. This trend raises questions about the preparation levels and teaching methods being applied.

The situation highlights the need for better support systems for students, especially in subjects that carry significant weight in their academic journey. With such a large number of students struggling, it’s clear that adapting study strategies and improving educational resources could make a positive difference.

As the education board reviews these results, it may be time to rethink how subjects like Islamiat are taught and assessed, ensuring students have the best chance at success in their academic pursuits.
