Lahore’s Metro Bus Service Faces Shutdown Due to Fuel Crisis

The Lahore Metro Bus Service (LMBS) is on the brink of a major disruption, as VEDA, the organization managing the bus operations, has issued a serious warning to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA). According to the latest statement, if fuel supplies are not arranged promptly, all bus services will be brought to a standstill starting from August 11, 2026.

VEDA has stated that it has run out of financial resources, making it impossible to continue operations without a reliable fuel supply. This situation poses a significant challenge for daily commuters who rely heavily on the bus service for transportation across the city.
