Naughty Dog May Be Working on a New Uncharted Game

Naughty Dog could be preparing to return to one of its most popular franchises, with a new report suggesting that a new Uncharted game may be in development.

According to MP1st, the project is reportedly being led by Shaun Escayg, who previously served as creative director and writer on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Escayg has a long history with Naughty Dog and was heavily involved in the Uncharted franchise.

Interestingly, the project is reportedly not a remake of an existing Uncharted game. It is also said to be unrelated to The Last of Us, suggesting that Naughty Dog could be exploring an entirely new adventure within the Uncharted universe.

Adding more fuel to the speculation, Escayg has shared photographs from Trinidad and Tobago. While there is no confirmation that these photos are connected to the project, some fans have begun wondering whether his travels could have been part of research for a future Uncharted setting.

Of course, none of this confirms that a new Uncharted game is officially in development. Naughty Dog has not announced the project, and the Trinidad and Tobago connection remains pure speculation for now.

Still, if the report is accurate, it could mark the return of one of PlayStation’s biggest adventure franchises. With Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy having concluded Nathan Drake’s story, a new game could potentially focus on another character or introduce an entirely new adventure.

For now, fans will have to wait for Naughty Dog to officially reveal what the studio is working on.
