New Characters Unveiled in Genshin Impact 7.0 Livestream: Free 5-Star Selections Expanded!

The latest livestream for Genshin Impact 7.0 has dropped some exciting news for players! The much-loved To Temper Thyself and Journey Far event, which many of you know as the 5-star Constellation selector, is getting an awesome expansion. With the addition of nine new characters, the roster of free 5-star options has just gotten a significant boost as we dive into the event’s fifth cycle.

If you’ve already got these characters in your collection, starting from update 7.0, you’ll be able to snag one free Constellation upgrade for the following characters:

• Lyney
• Wriothesley
• Navia
• Xianyun
• Chiori
• Sigewinne
• Clorinde
• Emilie
• Yumemizuki Mizuki

As you can see, the new additions are primarily from Fontaine, but some players were surprised to see popular Sumeru characters, like Al Haitham, left out of this round. Wriothesley, who recently received a buff alongside the Stellar Conduct reaction, is already shaping up to be one of the top choices for early Constellation picks. And standard character Yumemizuki Mizuki has unexpectedly gained relevance thanks to the new Stellar Swirl reaction introduced in this update.

Personally, I’m eyeing to grab Wriothesley for his power, Xianyun for some epic exploration, and Chiori along with Emilie to strengthen my off-field game. The rules for claiming these upgrades remain the same as in the previous cycles. As reiterated by the team at Hoyoverse during the stream, players can claim one Stella Fortuna (that’s a Constellation upgrade, by the way) for each character you own from the provided list. Remember, each character is eligible for this upgrade only once.

To claim these free rewards, you’ll need to complete daily tasks multiple times a week over the course of eight weeks, with additional bonus goodies awaiting you as you claim each Constellation through the cycles.
