Red Bull Athlete Nails Assassin’s Creed Leap of Faith, Sets New World Record!
A daring athlete from Red Bull has made headlines by shattering a world record while pulling off the legendary “Leap of Faith” from the Assassin’s Creed series. Professional freerunner and stuntwoman, Lilou Ruel, took the plunge from a staggering height of 18.2 meters into an enormous haystack. To put that into perspective, that’s roughly the height of a six-story building! It’s no wonder she couldn’t help but scream as she descended in a thrilling video that quickly went viral.
Fortunately, Lilou landed safely in the hay, igniting a joyful celebration among her friends who were there to witness the heart-pounding stunt. “Thanks to Red Bull for giving me wings for a few seconds,” she quipped on her Instagram, adding playfully, “I think we can go even higher, should we try?”
This isn’t the first time a Red Bull athlete has attempted to break the record for the highest Leap of Faith. Back in May 2026, Dominic Tommasso jumped from 18.1 meters while dressed as Edward Kenway from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, coinciding with the game’s release.
The launch of Black Flag Resynced has been nothing short of sensational, with a staggering 2 million copies flying off the shelves within just 24 hours. As of now, that number has soared past 3 million sales, and Ubisoft has hinted at the arrival of a New Game Plus mode.
On top of that, the game managed to rake in an impressive $1 (approx. Rs 280) million from its day-one DLC on Steam, marking a record player streak for the Assassin’s Creed franchise on the platform. However, it’s worth noting that the game’s success hasn’t been without its challenges, as Ubisoft announced plans to lay off 380 employees in June. This included 51 team members who contributed to the diving mechanics in the game, and they are now advocating for fair severance packages, claiming their compensation doesn’t meet reasonable standards.
