Rockstar Confirms No Microtransactions or AI in GTA 6 at Launch

During a preview event, Kinda Funny’s Andy Cortez inquired whether players could use real money for in-game purchases. Rockstar responded with a clear “no,” emphasizing their commitment to a monetization-free experience at launch. Following this, Greg Miller from the same outlet asked if there would be any generative AI included in GTA 6, to which the studio also replied with a firm “no.” This is great news for the millions of gamers who have been waiting for 13 long years for the next installment in the beloved franchise.
While it’s refreshing to know that there won’t be any traditional monetization methods, Rockstar did mention that there will be an Ultimate Edition of the game priced at $99.99 (approx. Rs 27,800), which is a $20 (approx. Rs 5,560) jump from the standard edition at $79.99 (approx. Rs 22,240). This edition will grant players access to exclusive content like cosmetic packs, unique vehicles, and even special shops such as the Electric Fang tattoo parlor and Stock 305 clothing store.
