Satisfactory Update 1.2: Rain Returns, Fuel Trucks Introduced, and Major Vehicle Upgrades!
After a long wait of nearly a year, the popular factory simulation game, Satisfactory, is back in action with Update 1.2! It’s been quite the drought since the previous major update, which was rolled out about twelve months ago and brought along cool features like controller support and improved resource transport. But now, the folks at Coffee Stain are stepping things up with some exciting new additions!
The most talked-about feature in this update is the return of rain. This weather effect was previously introduced during the early access phase with Update 6, but now it’s been revamped to provide a more realistic touch. Buildings and characters will show off a slick, wet appearance when it rains, making your factory look even more immersive. Plus, the new system means you won’t see those pesky rain effects clipping through your walls and ceilings as much!
On top of that, Update 1.2 introduces fluid stations and fuel trucks. These new vehicles provide an alternative means for transporting liquids throughout your sprawling factory — say goodbye to only relying on pipes. Additionally, the vehicle pathfinding system has been completely overhauled. You’ll now have the ability to craft vehicle paths similar to railways, allowing for more strategic planning in your factory layout.
But that’s not all; there are several other fun features included too! A selfie mode has been added to the photo mode, making it easy to capture those moments in your factory. You can also build a Portaloo that acts as a spawn point for easy access. There’s even a new T-junction piece for pipelines and a handy crossbeam for construction.
However, if you’re among those who play Satisfactory on a Steam Deck, keep in mind that some players have reported performance issues due to the new weather effects. If you encounter any slowdowns, don’t worry — you can adjust or disable the effects altogether.
If you haven’t jumped into Satisfactory yet, now’s a great time to give it a shot! It’s currently available at a 30% discount, priced at just $28 (approx. Rs 7,840) (£25.45), but hurry — the offer ends soon!
Note: PKR figures are approximate, based on a rate of Rs 280.00 per USD. Exchange rates fluctuate — please check the latest dollar rate for exact pricing.
