Sony Drops Blockbuster Bombshells at CinemaCon 2026: Spider-Man, Bloodborne & More!
Salaam, PakGamers! Get ready to have your minds blown because Sony Pictures just brought the house down at CinemaCon 2026, dropping some seriously epic news for gamers and movie buffs alike. While we weren’t there live, we’ve got all the juicy details right here for you, and trust us, you’ll want to hear about these!
First up, our friendly neighborhood hero, Spider-Man, took center stage with big reveals for two highly anticipated films. For Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we got a fresh new clip and a couple of snazzy posters. The clip dives deeper into the aftermath of No Way Home, showing how everyone, including Ned, has completely forgotten Peter Parker. We see Peter awkwardly trying to blend in at a party, only to find Ned’s room plastered with Spidey articles! Turns out, Ned remembers Spider-Man saved him and his friends in high school and has even created an app, “Spider-Tracker,” to find him – not to expose him, but to thank him! He’s narrowed it down to Flash Thompson and Roger Harrington as suspects, which is hilarious. Then MJ walks in, spots Peter, compliments his flowers, and he introduces himself as “Maynard.” Talk about an identity crisis! And just when you think it can’t get worse, MJ’s new boyfriend, played by Eman Esfandi (Ezra from Ahsoka!), swoops in, and let’s just say Peter is NOT thrilled. The clip also featured some intense action with Damage Control agents trying to take Spidey down, proving he’s definitely not in high school anymore!
But the web-slinging excitement didn’t stop there! Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse also gave us an early, unfinished look at what’s being called the “final chapter of Miles’ story.” The footage picked up right after Across the Spider-Verse, with Miles waking up face-to-face with his alternate self and Uncle Aaron. A hilarious argument over the pronunciation of “Morales” ensues before Miles 1 tries to explain “canon events” and his dad’s impending death, only to be met with disbelief. Cue some glitching, a clever escape, and a montage featuring Gwen, Miles fighting himself, and Peter B. Parker handing Baby May to Spider-Ham (who’s “all out of milk,” apparently!). We also caught glimpses of Kingpin, The Spot, and Spider-Man 2099, with Rio telling Miles, “You’re not tough, you’re strong.” This one is set to hit cinemas in June 2027.
Now, for something completely unexpected and absolutely wild: a brand new, R-rated animated film based on the dark, gothic world of Bloodborne! This announcement got huge cheers from the crowd, and honestly, we’re buzzing too. Imagine the horrors of Yharnam brought to life in an R-rated animated format – talk about a dream come true for fans!
The wilderness of Jumanji: Open World also came to life with a hilarious clip from the sequel to Jumanji: The Next Level. We saw animals loose in the real world, a repairman fixing a console, and the game characters like Bravestone and Oberon
