Sorceress Conquers Diablo 4’s Toughest Challenge in Just 17 Hours!
Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred has ramped up the challenge for gamers, and one player has just set a jaw-dropping record. The game now boasts a significantly tougher difficulty tier, and while most players are taking their time to climb the ranks, some are racing against the clock to see just how fast they can reach the top.
Enter Mekuna, a dedicated Diablo 4 streamer who took a level 1 sorceress all the way to level 70 in a mere 17 hours of non-stop gameplay. This intense grind was no walk in the park, especially since many late-game mechanics were kept under wraps by Blizzard, forcing Mekuna to whip up an effective build on the fly.
His strategy revolved around a unique twist on the Blizzard skill. Instead of the usual ice storm, Mekuna opted for its lightning variant, unleashing devastating bursts of energy that obliterated groups of enemies in a flash. The chaotic display during his final dungeon run looked like a dazzling light show, making it hard to keep track of what was happening on-screen!
By the 20-hour mark of his Twitch stream, Mekuna hit torment level 12, making him one of the first players to achieve this milestone so quickly and with so little sleep. Initially, he had been playing the new warlock class during the campaign but eventually switched to the sorceress, a choice that clearly paid off as he climbed the ranks of Diablo 4’s unofficial leaderboard.
While Mekuna still had plenty of upgrades left to unlock, it’s worth noting that there were no visible bugs or exploits at play—just a well-crafted build that appears to be stronger than Blizzard may have intended. It seems that with enough determination and skill, even the most daunting challenges in Diablo 4 can be defeated.
However, there’s a twist. Although Mekuna has conquered torment level 12, there are additional ways to crank up the difficulty through the game’s new skill trees. These upgrades can elevate monster levels beyond what the standard torment tiers permit, and it would be interesting to see if he can handle those even greater challenges.
The introduction of the new skill trees, revamped item crafting, and updated difficulty tiers means that traditional metrics for assessing power in characters have been turned on their head. As the game’s leaderboards are set to go live soon, all eyes will be on how other classes, particularly paladins and warlocks, stack up against these new benchmarks!
