The Boys Goes Wild with a Surprise Samuel L. Jackson Cameo!

The latest episode of Prime Video’s hit series, The Boys, is making waves as it heads towards its grand finale. With just one week left until the series finale, the storylines of many characters are reaching their climax. In the recent episode titled “The Frenchman, the Female and the Man Called Mother’s Milk,” Chace Crawford’s character, The Deep, finds himself at a critical juncture that could signal the end of his journey.

What makes this episode even more thrilling is the unexpected appearance of a character voiced by none other than the legendary Samuel L. Jackson! That’s right; the iconic Nick Fury has swum into The Boys universe, but this time he’s taking on the role of a foul-mouthed shark named Xander, and he’s not exactly thrilled with The Deep.

In a series of unfortunate events, The Deep has recently faced significant turmoil. After his supposed ally, Black Noir (played by Nathan Mitchell), inadvertently caused an environmental catastrophe by destroying a Vought oil pipeline—resulting in the deaths of over a billion fish—things took a turn for the worse. To add fuel to the fire, The Deep ended up killing Black Noir in a fit of rage. This episode reveals that Homelander (Antony Starr) has decided to dissolve the superhero team, The Seven, leaving The Deep feeling abandoned and sipping on a six-pack by the docks.

This is where Jackson’s character, Xander, makes a splash. The hammerhead shark swims up to The Deep, trying to coax him out of his self-imposed exile. Initially, The Deep is too wrapped up in his own misery to understand Xander’s intentions until the shark bursts out in classic Sam Jackson fashion, shouting, “We know you were responsible for the pipeline genocide. Remember March 15th, motherfucker!”

Showrunner Eric Kripke shared some behind-the-scenes insight, saying, “We wanted a really distinct voice, and who has a more distinct voice in Hollywood than Sam Jackson? He was our first choice. We just reached out to his agent, and to our surprise, he was a fan of the show and agreed to do it. That was definitely a bucket list moment!”

The big question now is whether The Deep will return for the finale or if this marks the end of his story, as former comrades and the human world alike turn against him. Only time will reveal his fate.

And let’s not forget the intriguing speculation: Is Xander in any way connected to Sam Jackson’s character from the movie Deep Blue Sea? Only the show can tell! Stay tuned!
