Total War: Warhammer 3 Gets Wild! New Lords, Cathay Overhaul & Those Annoying Ladders Are GONE!
Salam, gamers! If you’re anything like us here at PakGamersHub, you’ve been eagerly waiting for the next big dose of news from the epic battlefields of Total War: Warhammer 3. Well, the wait is over, and Creative Assembly has dropped some seriously exciting updates that are going to make your campaigns even more thrilling!
First off, a quick heads-up for all you strategists out there: a patch is just around the corner. This update aims to sort out those annoying AI issues where units sometimes just stand around doing nothing or pile up awkwardly in settlements. So, expect your AI foes to be a bit smarter and more challenging very soon!
But the real meat of the announcement revolved around the upcoming Update 8.1. Grand Cathay is getting some much-needed love! We’re talking a complete rework for the faction, including a spruced-up tech tree and some sweet buffs for their units. And that’s not all for Cathay – get ready to welcome two new faces:
- Bhashiva, the White Tiger: This new legendary lord sounds absolutely terrifying (in the best way!). She’s got a unique ability called “Heaven’s Gate” that lets her teleport across the battlefield, landing with an explosive bang that damages everything around her. Talk about making an entrance!
- Taoyan the Merciless: A brand-new free DLC hero for Cathay. We don’t have all the details on her yet, but more free content is always a win in our books!
Now, for the big kahuna, the news that sent ripples through the Warhammer community: a new legendary lord joining Nagash in the “Lords of the End Times” DLC. Prepare yourselves for the arrival of Graf Boris Todbringer! He’ll be leading the Ulrican faction from Middenheim, and it sounds like he’s not messing around. Forget the usual defensive tactics of other Imperial lords; Boris is all about taking the fight to anyone who dares even *think* about messing with the Empire. He embodies Ulric, the god of war, winter, and wolves, so expect him to be ferociously aggressive!
What’s even cooler is that you’ll have an option to switch Todbringer’s voice actor to none other than YouTuber Angory Tom from the Yogscast! If you know Angory Tom, you know he’s famously cosplayed as “Toddy” before, and his over-the-top energy perfectly matches a character who basically wears a castle on his head. This is going to be epic!
The Ulricans are also getting some fresh blood in their army with two new units: the fearsome Knights Panther and the elite Teutogen Guard. The Teutogen Guard are the personal bodyguards of Ar-Ulric Emil Valgeir, who is essentially Ulric’s pope. And speaking of Ar-Ulric, there were some strong hints that we might see him join the fray as a legendary hero, along with two more units teased in silhouette – our guesses are Hunting Hounds and the Celestial Hurricanum!
And finally, something many of us have been begging for: the siege update (9.1)! Creative Assembly is finally addressing those infamous “pocket ladders” that magically appear out of nowhere. After this update, siege attackers will default to bringing proper siege towers and equipment with them. Don’t worry, if you somehow developed an attachment to those instant ladders, they’ll still be an optional setting in the menu. But for most of us, this is a huge quality-of-life improvement!
The developers wrapped up their showcase by promising even more exciting news in May, with specific details about free content additions expected in June. So, keep your eyes peeled and your armies ready, because the world of Total War: Warhammer 3 is about to get a whole lot more intense!
