X-Men ’97 Season 3 Set to Reintroduce Iconic Villains at Comic-Con 2026

The excitement for X-Men ’97 is palpable, especially after Marvel dropped some thrilling updates during the recent Comic-Con at the “Marvel Comics to Screen” panel. Fans were treated to juicy tidbits about the upcoming third and fourth seasons, including the much-anticipated return of some fan-favorite mutant villains.

One of the highlights? The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants is making its comeback in Season 3! These iconic characters have been noticeably absent in the revival so far, but that’s set to change. Attendees were also shown an exclusive clip featuring the team, which includes familiar faces like Pyro, Avalanche, Blob, and Toad. In the clip, these mutants are seen making a bold statement by spray-painting “mutant freedom” on a building wall. They’re not alone, though; they’re joined by a new character, Surge, who brings a spark of electricity to their rebellious art.

As the Brotherhood wreaks a bit of havoc, they face an unexpected challenge in the form of a new variant of the Sentinels, decked out in striking patriotic blue. This sneak peek gives fans a glimpse of the overall vibe we can expect in Season 3. While it seems like the X-Men are gearing up for a final showdown with Apocalypse, the tension with the U.S. government remains thick in the air.

Brad Winderbaum, the executive producer, shared that while Season 2 is currently airing, the animation for Season 3 is nearing completion, with Season 4’s animatics also in progress. It looks like we might not have to wait too long, as Season 3 could hit our screens in 2027!
