Steam Controller Gets Multi-Console Emulation!
0
Guys, check this out – someone's made a really cool DIY project for the Steam Controller! It's called 'OpenPuck' and it basically lets your Steam Controller pretend to be an Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or even a PlayStation controller. Apparently, you flash an inexpensive micro-board, and then it translates your Steam Controller inputs for other consoles, with Switch and PS3 modes confirmed to work on actual consoles! This is pretty amazing for versatility, imagine using one controller for so many different systems, though it’s a bit of a bummer it can’t wirelessly charge the Steam Controller like the original puck. Still, for those of us who appreciate a good tinker and getting more out of our gear, this sounds like a game-changer. What do you all think – would you try something like this if you have a Steam Controller?
