Hey everyone, just saw something really interesting about GOG that got me thinking. Apparently, one of their senior managers is seriously dreaming about bringing back physical game releases, where you could theoretically order a physical copy of a digital game you own directly through their platform. They acknowledge it's incredibly complex due to the massive logistics and storage involved, basically like starting a whole new business. But honestly, as someone who grew up with those big PC game boxes and manuals, the idea of having physical versions of modern or even older DRM-free titles is super appealing for collecting and preservation. Imagine having a shelf of GOG titles you love, all in proper physical editions again! What do you guys think about this – is it a pipe dream, or something you'd genuinely love to see happen?
