I just came across an incredible project by a solo developer that truly blew my mind! They've created an entire explorable cyberpunk city made almost entirely out of ASCII characters, using a custom ray-casting engine that gives the illusion of a 3D world, all without traditional 3D models or textures. This prototype can be accessed through a single HTML file, which is honestly a feat in itself. The developer has been actively updating the city, bumping up the resolution and even adding interiors and multiple floors to the buildings! It’s amazing to see such creativity and dedication come to life, and it's a whole new vibe from the usual graphic-heavy games. I can’t wait to explore this ASCII wonderland and see what else the developer has in store!
