Hey PakGamers, just saw some interesting news about Capcom's future plans for the Resident Evil series and it's quite a reveal! Apparently, they're committed to remaking most of the pre-Resident Evil 7 games, which means after the likely Code: Veronica, we might actually get modern versions of Resident Evil 5 and even 6. The executive producer also hinted that they're already thinking about what happens once the remakes catch up to the current timeline, suggesting a "crossover" or new direction building on elements from RE7 onwards. Personally, I'm thrilled about the possibility of a Code: Veronica remake, but RE5 and especially RE6 getting a facelift makes me a bit nervous – those games would need some serious work to redeem them.
