VTM in D&D: Is This Really Needed?
0
Hey everyone, just heard some interesting news from the TTRPG world. It seems Vampire: The Masquerade is getting an official Dungeons & Dragons 5e rulebook, titled 'Bound by Blood.' This supplementary book is set to include a new Kindred class with subclasses, an adventure, and systems to properly integrate vampires into D&D campaigns, along with new feats. While it might offer some cool options for D&D players looking to run a vampire-themed campaign, especially after Baldur's Gate 3, I honestly can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Vampire: The Masquerade already has a fantastic, nuanced system perfectly designed for its dark and political themes, so it feels a bit like a redundant move. I wish more people would explore VTM's own 5th edition instead of trying to fit everything into the D&D mould.
