Dawnwalker Devs SCARED of Player Complaints?

So apparently, the devs behind 'The Blood of Dawnwalker' — Rebel Wolves, those ex-CD Projekt Red folks — got cold feet about a core game mechanic. They initially planned a more restricted experience, maybe even with time limits or some tough constraints, for the main game. But get this: they changed it all because they were 'afraid' we gamers would complain too much about it being 'too restricted' after the prologue. Man, is that a sign of how powerful (and whiny, sometimes!) our collective voice is, or what? It's kind of amusing, but also makes you wonder if we're now designing games out of fear of Twitter outrage rather than bold creative vision. Maybe some restriction would've actually been a good thing!
