Hey everyone, just caught some news about League of Legends Classic that's a bit of a surprise, or maybe not entirely. Riot is actually shutting down the Classic mode in January, only about six months after it first launched. Apparently, most players ended up going back to the main game, which kind of explains why it's not sustainable. They're planning to issue refunds for any Classic-specific content and might bring it back later as a limited-time event. Honestly, I wasn't too shocked; I always wondered if the pure nostalgia could really sustain a competitive game mode like that for the long haul.
