Fourth Wing Series to Welcome Its First Graphic Novel in 2027!
Exciting news for fans of the Fourth Wing series! The highly anticipated first graphic novel is set to hit the shelves next year, with Amazon kicking off preorders. Mark your calendars for April 6, 2027, when this new addition will officially debut.
While we don’t have the cover art just yet, here’s what we do know: this graphic novel will span 256 pages and adapt the first 22 chapters of the original book. It’s a great way for fans to dive deeper into the story in a fresh format.
The graphic novel will be available in hardcover, paperback, and Kindle editions, giving fans a variety of options to choose from. You can opt for the standard version, or if you’re feeling a bit fancy, there’s a “Deluxe Signed Edition” for those who want something extra special.
Rebecca Yarros, the brilliant mind behind the series, has already penned the script for the second graphic novel, although we’re still waiting on any artwork to surface. Anabel Rossi, known for her impressive fan art in franchises like House of the Dragon, will be bringing the visuals to life.
While the graphic novel is sure to excite fans, it might also mean that the timeline for the fourth book in the series could shift. The latest installment, Onyx Storm, was released in early 2025, just over a year after Iron Flame. If Yarros keeps up this pace, we might see the fourth book dropping in early 2027 as well, though that’s purely speculative at this point.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to another title in the series called Threshing Day, featuring 13 stories from beloved characters on the day they bonded with their dragons. This one is launching soon, on September 29, 2026, so there’s plenty to be excited about!
And let’s not forget about the Fourth Wing TV series, which is in the works thanks to Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society. With all this momentum, the Empyrean series is undoubtedly cementing its status as a major player in the romantasy genre.
