Marvel Confirms Black Panther 3 Release Date for 2028

Exciting news for Marvel fans! The highly anticipated Black Panther 3 has officially been announced, with a release date set for December 15, 2028. This big reveal came during Marvel’s announcement panel at the San Diego Comic Con, where fans were treated to some fascinating updates about the upcoming film.

One of the standout announcements was that British actor David Jonsson will be joining the cast, playing the son of T’Challa. Fans might remember him as a child from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Jonsson has also appeared in other notable projects like Alien: Romulus and The Long Walk. Returning to reprise their roles are Letitia Wright as Shuri and Winston Duke as M’Baku—confirming that both characters survive the events of Avengers: Secret Wars.

While this project wasn’t officially confirmed until now, there had already been significant buzz surrounding it. Director Ryan Coogler had hinted at Denzel Washington’s involvement, revealing that he had crafted a role specifically for the acclaimed actor back in 2024. In a previous statement, Coogler expressed his admiration for Denzel, calling him “the greatest living actor” and emphasizing the importance of his contributions to culture.

The success of the previous Black Panther films set a solid foundation for this third installment, with the original film grossing an impressive $1.35 (approx. Rs 380) billion and its sequel, Wakanda Forever, raking in $859 (approx. Rs 238,800) million despite facing challenges after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman. With such a strong legacy, expectations for Black Panther 3 are undoubtedly high.

Stay tuned for more updates as we count down to this monumental release!
