Warcraft 3 Modding Forum The Helper Is Shutting Down After More Than 27 Years

The Helper, one of the longest-running communities dedicated to Warcraft 3 modding, is shutting down after more than 27 years online.

More Than 100,000 Threads Will Be Preserved

While the active community is closing, its history isn’t disappearing.

The Helper’s archive contains more than 100,000 threads and approximately 859,700 comments, which are expected to remain accessible after the shutdown.

The site’s administrator confirmed the closure, explaining that operating The Helper is no longer part of his future plans:

“The site will be archived, the content will be available for people if they want it.”

Preserving the forum is particularly important because of the huge amount of knowledge accumulated over more than two decades. Tutorials, technical discussions, World Editor solutions, custom-map development tips, and conversations between generations of Warcraft 3 modders will remain available rather than disappearing with the site.
